Laos Trip (Pakse and Vientiane) Posted on September 12, 2013 by admin This summer I tripped to Laos and visited these two major cities. From Phnom Penh, some direct buses to Pakse are available. Pakse is facing the famous Mekong River. A food stall on the street We ate some sticky rice, meat skewers, and papaya salad. A few days later, we moved to Vientiane by bus. We stayed at the private room of Sihome Backpakcers Hostel. Vientiane, which is the capital city of Laos, is also facing the Mekong River. On the square along the river, many locals were doing exercise. The market on the riverside We tried the famous Makphet restaurant. A fabulous dish Noy’s Fruit Heaven was another restaurant that we visited. Generous portion of Fruit Salad with Yogurt (Large) We dicided to go to Thai Land from Vientiane using the train. Inside of the train crossing the border was humble. Here is the border (Mekong River).
